Colour is where this label earns its place. The palette runs warmer and more varied than the strict blues and whites of the formal rails, which is what makes it useful for the days between formal and fully casual.
Fit notes — what to expect
Allen Solly cuts a comfortable, forgiving line. Casual shirts run slightly relaxed through the body and the chinos have a moderate rise that suits most builds.
Chinos and casual trousers almost always need hemming, and this is where people leave the most on the table — a chino that breaks heavily over the shoe undoes the whole look. We hem to your shoe and your preference, usually while you wait.
Altered in-house, by our own tailors
Every garment bought at Sellers can be altered in-house before you take it home. We keep a full bespoke workshop on the premises — the same master tailors who cut our made-to-measure suits will shorten a sleeve, take in a waist, taper a leg or adjust a shoulder. Most alterations are done the same week; simple hemming is often done while you wait.
This is the practical difference between buying a shirt at Sellers and buying the same shirt anywhere else in Chennai. A ready-made garment is cut for an average body. Yours is not average. The alteration is what closes that gap, and it is included in the way we work rather than treated as an afterthought.
